Speech pathologists have specialised knowledge and skills to support clients with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).  AAC may be introduced to support verbal communication skills or when the client is unable to communicate verbally. 

 

AAC may be as simple as pointing to some pictures or words, or as advanced as a specific electronic device or application with voice output.  Through comprehensive assessment and individual consultation, our speech pathologists can assist you to establish or find an AAC system that works for you.
